Crafted from brass, stainless steel, and glass, the Jeffersonian Rain Gauge is designed to face the elements and deliver a lifetime of reliable service.
Using a mechanical float and lever design these traditional instruments can measure up to 5 inches of rain in 1/5 inch increments.
This gauge will turn into the wind to ensure an accurate measurement, or may be tightened down to fix its location.
Each instrument includes two 14 inch brass rods plus a wooden mounting stake for a total height of 42 inches.
A hanger bolt for optional installation on a post fence or deck rail is also included. Total height with hanger bolt installation is 14 inches.
Like all Conant garden products, the Jeffersonian Rain Gauge features solid brass construction.
The natural antique brass finish will weather nicely, adding to the timeless character of this unique piece.
