This clever trap catches the carpenter bees in your area, keeping them from damaging your siding or other wooden structures. The wooden body and natural attractant specifically draw carpenter bees to the unit and avoid trapping other insects. Three entry holes on the front of the wooden block allow the bees to access the trap but not easily find their way out. They are directed into the plastic jar, from which they cannot escape. Placing a female carpenter bee, which has an all black face, into the jar can also help draw males to the area for more effectiveness. Simply unscrew this reservoir to empty the captured bees. The 12" long, flat back with pre-drilled mounting holes allows you to attach this trap to a post or wall easily, or simply rest it on a level surface. Mount or place this trap near the damaged areas and its 5' to 15' effective radius will do the rest. Use corks or wood putty to plug holes made by these bees to better direct them into the trap.
