Live bacteria gel to start new pond filters

PURE is Evolution Aqua’s Award Winning range of bacterial products for ponds, freshwater aquariums and marine aquariums.

PURE products contain incredibly high concentrations of friendly bacteria and enzymes. These are contained within a unique delivery system that when added to your pond or aquarium will help to clean up organic waste and break down ammonia and nitrite.The result is crystal clear and healthy water that sparkles.

Pure Pond are biodegradable balls, crammed full of live bacteria that are slowly released when they are needed most. With over 8,000,000,000 bacteria per litre of Pure Pond Balls, your pond will shine even more than normal, especially if you add them monthly into the K1 moving bed media, or into any other type of filter you may have.

When you introduce the Pure Pond balls into the biological chamber of your Nexus, they become one with moving bed, agitating alongside the K1 media, just waiting to smooth out any peaks and troughs of the Ammonia/Nitrite cycle.

The Pure Pond balls also contain natural enzymes which will help to breakdown organic waste, leaving your pond with healthier, crystal clear water. For best results add to the biological chamber in the filter, ideally contained within a filter bag.

• 500ml treats ponds up to 10,000 litres.

• 1 litre treats ponds up to 20,000 litres.

• 2 litre treats ponds up to 40,000 litres.

Pure Pond is not intended to clear green water. An appropriate UVC is recommended to clear green water. PURE+ Filter Start Gel is a live, concentrated bacteria culture for use in new pond filters. The gel based solution will stick to the filter media, allowing the nitrifying bacteria it contains to rapidly colonise your filter.

Once the filter media has been coated with the PURE+ Filter Start Gel, the beneficial bacteria within the gel will speed up the maturation of your filter media, while helping to convert ammonia and nitrite, resulting in less stressed fish.

DOSING ADVICE

• Shake well before use to ensure the bacteria has not settled.

• Unscrew the cap and pour the contents of the bottle directly onto your filter media for best results. You cannot over-dose your filter with gel.

• We always advise the addition of oxygen to your pond via an airpump and diffuser when using PURE+ Filter Start Gel.

• Always perform regular water tests using a suitable test kit, especially before adding fish to the pond.

• If a UV-C is running, switch it off when dosing and keep switched off for 12 hours after dosing.

PURE+ Filter Start Gel will not address problems with green water, a suitable UV-C should be used to clear green water.
