Each of the eight compartments measures 6" x 6" x 12", virtually eliminating any predation by owls and hawks, which increases fledgling rates. The compartments have individual porches and guard rails to discourage male martin domination and are hinged for easy nest checks and nest removal. During winter migration, use the included door stops to dam up your house and keep out aggressive and invading starlings. This house is top of the line and should exceed a 75% occupancy rate when properly placed atop the Lonestar Pole and Winch in an open space.
