Woodstock Chimes Equestrian Spirit
"And they're off;" this chime is precision-tuned to the opening notes of the bugle call that starts horse races.
Woodstock Chimes Equestrian Spirit
Humans began to domesticate horses around 4000 BC. Today we interact with horses in a number of ways: riding them for entertainment, using them as therapy animals, as farm workers, and, of course, racing them for sport. The familiar bugle call that signals the start of a horse race serves as the scale to which this chime is precision-tuned. The rearing horse silhouette is cut from a single piece of stainless steel that was treated with a flamed finish, producing wonderful burnished, coppery colors.
Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Maintenance: Every part of a Woodstock Chime is weather protected. Over time, however, those layers of protection can begin to wear. To enjoy your Woodstock Chimes for years to come, we suggest the following simple maintenance tips --
Periodically, apply a thin layer of Danish or lemon oil with a clean cloth to the hardwood parts. Regular oiling will help protect the wood and retard the natural aging process.
Woodstock Chimes tubes are made of anodized aluminum that will not rust when exposed to the elements. However, over time, the aluminum may show pitting as a result of environmental factors. Please note this will not affect the beautiful tones of your chimes. If necessary, use mild soap and water (or a foaming, non-abrasive cleanser) to clean the tubes or windcatcher. You can also use very fine #00 steel wool to polish and restore your aluminum tubes (Do not use steel wool on the windcatcher.)
