How the Dog Fence Works

A radio signal travels though a buried wire, marking the boundaries you wish to set for your dog. Your dog wears a Receiver Collar that detects the signal at the boundary. As your dog approaches the boundary, the receiver issues a warning tone with vibration. As your dog approaches the boundary, the receiver issues a warning tone with vibration. If he proceeds further, he receives a safe but startling Static Correction. There are 4 levels of Static Correction, adjustable to your dog's temperament. While harmless, the Correction will persuade him to stay in the Containment Area you've established. The Stubborn Dog Receiver Collar offers the highest intensity correction for large dogs, strong-willed or hard to train pets.

While most other fence system retailers sell 18 gauge wire with a 30 mil insulation, Monell Pets, after years of selling fence systems, has found that the 35 mil insulation thickness on our 18 gauge wire has lasted better than the 30 mil insulation offered by others. This is a Monell Pets exclusive. We offer this superior insulation on both our 20 and 18 gauge systems is sunlight resistant and rated for direct burial. We also offer our Super Heavy Duty 45 Mil insulation on our 16 & 14 Gauge systems. Check with us if you wish to upgrade to heavier 16 or 14 Gauge wire
